Cannabis Bulletin

January 20, 2022

A comprehensive review of the Retail Cannabis Store Handbook (RCSH) was recently undertaken in support of government’s red tape reduction initiative. As a result of this review, several policy amendments were approved. Highlights of the amendments include:

  • rearranging and simplifying the Qualified Cannabis Worker, SellSafe, Objection and Change of Status sections (1.6, 1.7, 2.4 and 2.5 respectively);
  • eliminating duplication with the Gaming, Liquor and Cannabis Act and Gaming, Liquor and Cannabis Regulation in sections 1.1, 1.6, 4.1, 4.2, 4.4, 4.9, 4.10, 4.12 and 7.1; and
  • eliminating repetitive subsections in sections 1.7, 2.4, 2.5, 3.1, 4.7, 5.1, 5.3, 5.4, 6.1, 6.3 and 7.2.
