This bulletin is to advise charitable groups of IMPORTANT AMENDMENTS to the Charitable Gaming Policies Handbook (CGPH).
The following CGPH policies are effective September 10, 2019.
Sections 4.1 General – Use of Gaming Revenue and 4.4 General – Use of Proceeds.
As part of AGLC’s commitment to red tape reduction, these sections have been amended to expand payment options for charities to include credit card, debit card, bank draft, preauthorized debit (PAD), or electronic fund transfer (EFT) in addition to cheques when making payments for approved uses of proceeds.
Sections 5.3 Assistance Fund and 5.4 Bursaries and Scholarships.
Minor amendments were made in these sections to reflect the changes mentioned above to Section 4.4.
Please familiarize yourself with the amended policies, update your CGPH as required, and ensure all those affected by the policy changes are notified of the new requirements.
In addition, other charitable gaming terms and conditions documents, affected by these changes, have been amended and updated on AGLC’s website (e.g. Bingo Licensee Terms & Conditions, Raffle Terms & Conditions).
