Policy Amendment – Host First Nation Charitable Casino Policies Handbook (HFNCCPH) Update

Casino Bulletin

March 26, 2024

This bulletin is to advise all Host First Nation licensed charities and charity workers of IMPORTANT AMENDMENTS to the Host First Nation Charitable Casino Policies Handbook. The following policies are effective March 26, 2024.

  • Following a complete review and reorganization of the Casino Terms & Conditions and Operating Guidelines (CTCOG), the HFNCCPH has been updated to ensure that references made to specific CTCOG policies are also updated.
  • In addition, some minor changes, with no impact to the intent of the policy, were made to ensure consistent wording across AGLC handbooks. These changes primary impacted Deal Us In training to align with recent changes to the CTCOG.
  • References showing when additions and amendments were made as part of previous policy changes, including placeholders for deleted content, have been removed as part of this review to make the HFNCCPH more streamlined and user-friendly for stakeholders.

The amended Host First Nation Charitable Casino Policies Handbook may be accessed on AGLC's website at aglc.ca. Additional information regarding AGLC's commitment to a modern regulatory environment that supports consumer choice, innovation and economic growth can be found on AGLC's website at aglc.ca/modernization.

Please familiarize yourself with the amended policies, update your Host First Nation Charitable Casino Policies Handbook as required and ensure all affected staff are notified of the new requirement(s).
