In keeping with the Government of Alberta red tape reduction initiative, the amended policy includes a change that provides industry stakeholders with increased flexibility and efficiency in running their operations:
Section 3.5.9 j):
The policy amendment provides an option for bingo association member charities to reduce costs associated with audited financial statements at the fiscal year end.
The facility licensee may, if approved by member charities, provide member charities with a review engagement in lieu of the audit.
Please familiarize yourself with the amended policies, update your CBH as required, and ensure all affected staff are notified of the new requirement(s).
