Effective March 25, 2024, AGLC’s new online licensing for liquor and cannabis licences, and public special event licences is available. The self-service platform supports new licence applications, reissued licences and cancelled licences, and allows users to make payments directly online. Learn more

Class B

Class B liquor licence is for liquor service when there is an entrance fee.

    Sports stadium

    An arena or facility for sporting events

    Recreational facility

    A facility for recreational activities, such as golf, bowling or billiards

    Convention centres

    A facility for conventions, trade shows, meetings etc. 

    Theatre

    A facility for live theatrical or musical performances

    Public conveyance

    Commercial aircraft, trains, and watercraft

    Racetrack

    Horse racing administered under the Racing Commissions Act.

    Goods and Services

    Businesses that offer goods and services to the public where the primary purpose of the business is not the sale of food or liquor.

    Note: Applications may be filled out manually until June 21, 2024, after which time all liquor licence applications will be submitted through the online licensing portal.

    A Class A, B, or C licence may be extended to provide liquor service at a function away from the licensed premises
