Policy Amendments – New Bingo Facility Licensing

This bulletin is to advise all bingo facility licensees and registered gaming workers of IMPORTANT AMENDMENTS to the Commercial Bingo Handbook (CBH). The following CBH policies are effective February 4, 2021.
- In keeping with Government of Alberta red tape reduction initiatives, these amended policies update the process for new bingo facility licensing:
- While the moratorium on new licensed gaming facilities continues to remain in place, AGLC is updating policy by introducing a four step process for licensing new bingo facilities.
- Section 10 has been amended, replacing existing policies, to reflect the four step process in order to reduce red‐tape and streamline the process for applicants.
Please familiarize yourself with the amended policies, update your CBH as required, and ensure all affected staff are notified of the new requirement(s).
