AGLC’s Responsible Gambling Awareness Week Returns, May 10-14

Healthy gambling habits promoted during the province-wide, 14th annual event

Alberta Gaming, Liquor & Cannabis (AGLC) is excited to announce the return of Responsible Gambling Awareness Week (RGAW). After seeing the initiative paused over the last two years due to the COVID-19 pandemic, RGAW will return throughout Alberta casinos, racing entertainment centres, VLT retailers and PlayAlberta.ca from May 10 – 14.

“Responsible Gambling Awareness Week highlights AGLC programs and services to support responsible gambling. GameSense and Self-Exclusion programs are two options available to legal-aged Albertans both online and in person to help patrons make healthy choices when gambling.”

Kandice Machado, Chief Executive Officer, AGLC

GameSense Advisors will be on hand throughout the week at GameSense Info Centres at Alberta casinos and racing entertainment centres, offering tools and resources that promote healthy gambling habits, dispel any misconceptions about gambling and reminding patrons that GameSense is for everyone.

If you or someone you know may require additional gambling support, contact the Alberta Health Services Addiction Line at 1-866-332-2322.

GameSenseAB.ca has a number of interactive features for website visitors and is available in five different languages, which allow users to familiarize themselves with facts about casino games.

If you gamble, use your #GameSense.
