This bulletin is to advise all casino facility licensees and registered gaming workers of IMPORTANT AMENDMENTS to the Casino Terms & Conditions and Operating Guidelines (CTCOG). The following policies are effective November 4, 2025.

AGLC is committed to reviewing policies to meet the needs of stakeholders, while maintaining an effective regulatory environment. As a result, policy amendments have been made to Sections 2.5, 4.6, 8.1, 8.3, 9.3,11.5, and 16.1 of the CTCOG:

  • Subsection 2.5.1 was added to clarify that any activity not specifically permitted in the CTCOG is prohibited.
  • Subsection 4.6.1 (a) (ii) was updated to remove the example of surveillance equipment from policy.
  • Sections 8.1, 8.3 and 9.3 were updated to reflect changes to the Government of Alberta’s Protection of Privacy Act.
  • Subsection 11.5.10 was updated to clarify distinctions between the regulatory oversight of two anti-money laundering programs.
  • Subsection 16.1.2 was updated to remove specific licencing fees and include a reference to the Fee Schedule on AGLC’s website.

Please familiarize yourself with the amended policies, update your Casino Terms & Conditions and Operating Guidelines as required, and ensure all affected staff are notified of the new requirements.
